I am sure we can all admit at times we sit in the stillness of our abodes and think about the “highs and lows” from the day and how we reacted. This is a good skill for progress and self-analysis.
Nowadays the realm of work and/or the workplace is an anxious arena of deadlines, quotas, and lofty expectations all determined by an ultimate person.
As real as that is and as inescapable as that may seem, be sure at the end of the day to take care of YOURSELF. This takes the form of your emotion, physical and spiritual self. To recharge yourself is to re-energize the world. Our journey has a beginning and an end so enjoy it and contribute positively to the world.

I stumbled across an inspirational speaker in Inky Johnson, a former TN University Football Player, who suffered a tragic injury in his senior year.
I am not a follower of specific speakers in the game of football. I do follow my Faith, however. And Inky’s testimony is powerful. I will let this video speak to you but what I did want to mention via this blog is this: life is too short to worry about things out of your control.
Do not take life for granted; this life is to be enjoyed every minute of every day.

Now that we have all entered in to the new year, some of us may have set up new goals and aspirations. I have mine and they take the form of both private and professional goals.
However, whether your aspirations and goals are hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or annually, please take time to think of the private “you”.
I am prepping and training for 3 triathlons this year. It is a goal. Is it realistic? Possibly. Is it achievable? Barring any injuries, it sure is. But that is my mentality. Going through the training process of dedication and planning and commitment, it has reassured in me that taking time to look after yourself permeates out in to the rest of your life.
Bottom line: although getting started on thinking about you and how that looks takes effort and time, remember to look after YOU!
